I was pleasantly surprised to be alerted to this recent article in The Guardian. Pleasantly surprised because the author was kind enough to praise my book The Activity Illusion which now forms a component of our sales-mind sales training programme.
This Guardian piece eloquently portrays the growing trend towards remorseless 24/7 connectivity which we believe to be bad not just productivity but also for cognitive performance and leadership behaviours. In sales teams, this trend can make everybody feel suitably busy but it does not necessarily flow through to delivery of the numbers. In our experience, it’s quite the opposite.
